Synopsis
When Homer notices that Lenny and Carl are getting more privileges than he at the plant, he investigates and finds out that they're part of an ancient secret society known as the Stonecutters. He tries to join, but learns that to gain membership he must be the son of an existing member or save the life of a Stonecutter. He is later admitted when he discovers Grandpa is a member.
After joining the Stonecutters, Homer unwittingly uses the society's Sacred Parchment as (in order) a napkin, tissue paper, and an ear cleaner, destroying it. After being stripped of his Stonecutter robes as part of his punishment, it's discovered that Homer has a birthmark identifying him as "The Chosen One" who was destined to lead the Stonecutters to greatness. At the time that Homer's birthmark is discovered Homer had been chained to the "Stone of Shame" and forced to drag it up a hill. When it is discovered that Homer is "The Chosen One" Number One declares "Remove the Stone of Shame! and Homer goes "Whooo!" Number One then declares "Attach the Stone of Triumph!" Homer replies "D'oh!" Many people who have taken initiations into fraternal organizations find this scene particularly funny. Homer is crowned in a scene that parodies The Last Emperor. Homer's reign would ultimately lead the Stonecutters to break away and form a new society, "The Ancient Society of No-Homers," headquartered in an abandoned Baskin-Robbins ice cream parlor. As one might expect, Homer was not allowed to join. (Another man named Homer did join, but note that the name refers to Homers .)
In response, Homer joined the extremely elite society of the Simpsons Family, and was subjected to some extreme hazing and paddling.
Trivia
At the end of the credits, on the Gracie Films logo, you can hear Carl saying "shhh...shut up!" instead of the usual "shhh!";
The Stonecutters secret society draws striking similarities to Freemasonry.;
Lenny says that the Stonecutters don't call each other by name, yet in the episode, Lenny calls Homer by name, and Number 1 calls Moe by name as well.;

Quotes
Homer: Alright, EconoSave, you just made the list... (taking out a piece of paper titled Homer's Revenge List) (see above);
Homer: Doh! Doh! Doh Doh Doh, Doh Doh Doh!! Doh Doh Doh Doh Doh! DOH!;
Homer: I'd give anything to get into the Stonecutters.
Lisa: What do they do there, dad?
Homer: What do they do? What don't they do!? Oh, they do so many things--they never stop. Oh, the things they do there, my stars!
Lisa: You don't know what they do there, do you?
Homer: Not as such, no.;
Lisa: You're a member of the Stonecutters, Grampa?
Grampa: Oh, sure, let's see. (looks through membership cards) I'm an Elk, a Mason, a communist, I'm the president of the Gay and Lesbian Alliance for some reason... ah, here it is, the Stonecutters.
Homer: This is it! My ticket in! They have to let me join if I'm a son of a member. I'll take this communist one too!;
Marge: Homer, I don't want you stalking people! It's so illegal! Remember when you were stalking Charles Kuralt because you thought he dug up your garden?
Homer: Well, something did.;
Marge: No stalking Lenny or Carl.
Homer: Fine. (sneakily, as though lying) I'm going...out...to... stalk...Lenny and Carl...heh heh heh...D'oh!;
